— A take on flowers
Photographs of flowers may appear trivial. Actually, they are trival in the sense of the picture itself. But triviality is only the obvious surface above the meaning, the story each picture tells: Every single flower tells its own sentimental story and subsequently becomes an icon for a precious moment in my life. In preserving these moments, I took photographs of the flowers when there were fresh and in blossom. Memories are fading anyway so I prefer a living icon over a withered, morbid symbol. I also portraited these personal icons as pure as possible. As pure as the related moment shall remain in memory.
